Back to School, sort of
This year we are using a charter school called Teach NW. They provide each student with an educational facilitator and $2000 to purchase curriculum, classes, and supplies. Last year we did our own thing and I feel like we accomplished nothing. So this year I need a bit of guidance.
I've decided that we will cover English and Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science, History/Geography, Spanish, and Health/PE. For Math we are using Mammoth Math Light Blue Series. For ELA we are using Sequential Spelling Online, Reading Eggs, and Daily Skills Builder for vocabulary. Science is an eclectic mix of books, videos, and experiments. We are using Trail Guide to Us Geography and Profiles from History for Geography this fall. I found units for Spanish and Health on Teachers Pay Teachers.
Books and supplies have been purchased. Many pages have been printed and bound. It's Back to School. Mom's ready, the kids not so much.
We'll try again next week, with a better schedule and plan of attack.
